Ashley Fletcher
Talk of this lad going Leeds for 2 million in January.

Should we be selling him?

One of the very few players this season to show some signs of promise.

Re: Ashley Fletcher
Hasn't looked ready for the Premier League. If we had ready made first team options I'd loan him out and get him regular football.

No, keep him

He will score goals in a team that creates chances.

Re: Ashley Fletcher
I think he's played well, when given the chance. Do NOT sell.

2million loan fee maybe.

Re: Ashley Fletcher
Let's be brutally honest - he's not exactly going to oust Big Andy or Sakho. Indeed, he'll be our fourth choice striker once we sign another forward.

Added to this, his goal scoring record is no great shakes. He's no young Defoe.

He's an honest trier - I think he needs to ply his trade somewhere else before playing for a Premier League team.

Re: Ashley Fletcher
I'd keep him as he has good potential and u can buy nothing fro 2mill nowadays anyway! ...I don't think he's good enough for the first team yet !.. yes everyone says he's looked the only promising Striker so far but come on what have we had to compare him to this season..? utter dross & inured Strikers!

Re: Ashley Fletcher
To be blunt, Martinez looks like he has more potential than Fletcher in the long-term. When all is said and done, it's about goals.

Re: Ashley Fletcher
We need to get 2 strikers in Jan, and loan Fletcher out to Leeds or any half decent championship side at the same time.

If at any point Carroll, Sakho, new guy, new guy are injured or complete shit, then we bring Martinez into the match day squads.

Re: Ashley Fletcher
Selling him would be bloody stupid, unless he's homesick and wants to go back up north...

Re: Ashley Fletcher
It will be a loan, if at all. Sullivan has said how Fletcher was bought as one for the future, but was surprised how well he had done, and how he is now an important part of the squad

Alex V 3:38 Tue Dec 20
Re: Ashley Fletcher
Even thinking of a loan would be absurd at this stage. We should back the player and back his talent, keep giving him opportunities. That's how you build a proper squad.

Alternatively we could bring in another £25m+ striker and see if they can hit the ball straight this time.

Loan...but only if we can keep ..AC ...Sakho fit...😃😃😃

And don't forget The Acon impact...

Re: Ashley Fletcher
If this is true, and it is 2 million, that would be absolute madness. 2 million literally get's you nothing! Zaza was a 4 million loan wasn't it?

That's what makes me think this isn't true. Loan may do him good for regular football and promote Martinez in his place. If we do decide to let him go.
